Yoga Classes in Swindon
Acknowledgements
I dedicate this page to my teachers with gratitude
Especially to Frances Lewis, for her inspirational teaching and guidance. Frances offers regular Yoga Classes, Workshops and The British Wheel of Yoga Foundation Course. Frances also offers one-to-one Yoga sessions, retreats and space clearing.
Rebecca Brain has guided me with her wisdom and compassion. Becky teaches Pregnancy Yoga, Natural Birth Classes, Breast Feeding and Fertility Courses. Becky also organises sacred singing workshops. My thanks to Becky for her teaching and sharing her love of sacred singing with me.
Simon Chandler is my Ashtanga Yoga teacher. Simon teaches Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga in the Tradition of Sri K Pattabhi Jois of Mysore, South India. This is a breath-focussed dynamic practice comprising a fixed sequence of Asanas.
My thanks also to Craig Pruess, my Art of Living Teacher. Art of Living teaches various breathing techniques, including the Sudarshan Kriya, a powerful breathing technique that facilitates physical, mental, emotional and social well-being. The Art of Living teaches that our breath is directly linked to our mind. The breathing techniques taught on the Art of Living course have the power to bring the mind to the present moment, where clarity, awareness, and peace reside. Craig offers regular Sudarshan Kriya practise and satsang in Swindon.
Thanks to Maarten Vermaase, my Tutor for The British Wheel of Yoga Diploma Course. Maarten teaches regular yoga and Tibetan Healing Exercise classes at Thrangu House, Oxford’s Tibetan Buddhist Centre. Maarten also teaches meditation modules for British Wheel of Yoga.
Thanks to Garry French, my first Yoga teacher who introduced me to Yoga and who continues to support me along my Yoga journey.
Thanks to my family, especially Phil Gilvin for creating this beautiful website, and to Tim Gilvin, who has composed and performed the music I use in class.
Finally, thanks to my friends, my students and my colleagues, who teach me so much.
Namaste
Liz
